Individuals, Universities, and other organizations are encouraged to contact Greg Garcia about sponsoring special awards for science fair winners. Presently the science fair has a plethora of special awards from a variety of sponsors. These awards add value to the ribbons and trophies that the students receive for their projects. Special awards may be presented to projects that reflect the special interest of the donor. Such awards may be for photography, veterinary medicine or any topic that the sponsor would like to support. Many of these students demonstrate real talent for scientific research. Your special award could be the motivating factor in encouraging a reluctant student to continue into more rigorous science and mathematics studies or to continue on to higher education. For questions about the Sponsoring the RGV Science Fair contact Greg Garcia at (956) 548-8000 or e-mail greggarcia@bisd.us.
